Meme's Worm Blanket

Memes Worm Blanket A worm blanket is an effective tool to maintain the optimal environment in your worm bin. It's typically placed on top of the food scraps and bedding materials inside the bin. The blanket helps retain moisture, ensuring that the worm habitat remains damp but not overly wet, facilitating the worms’ movement and feeding. Additionally, it provides insulation, maintaining a steady internal temperature, especially during extreme weather conditions. A worm blanket also helps to deter pests and minimize odors by creating a physical barrier against flies and other insects, keeping them away from the food waste. Make sure to moisten the worm blanket periodically if it dries out and lift it when adding new waste to ensure that it remains effective in performing its multifunctional roles. Adjust the placement and maintenance routines according to the specific conditions and needs of your worm bin to optimize the health of your worm colony and the efficiency of the composting process. Made from jute, a vegetable fiber. The worm blanket will naturally break down so we recommend replacing it every 4-6 months. This blanket comes in 2-ft x 2-ft squares and can be cut to any smaller size.
