Rating 8/10: Almost mint condition.  These rods have been fished once or twice and then traded in.  Could be a sample we used for videos, could be a rod a customer purchased and traded in for something else, etc. Rating 7/10: Great condition.  These rods have been fished a normal amount.  Normal signs of use are on the rods such as dirty or lightly pitted cork, water spots, etc but structurally the rods are perfect. Rating 6/10: Good condition.  These rods have been fished frequently and may be older rods from previous generations of models.  Visibly the rods will look heavily used, but they should still deliver a long life of use. Rating 5/10: Mid condition.  These rods have been used hard and put away dirty.  We take very few of these rods but every once in a while a rare rod comes through the shop that we'd rather let someone else enjoy than say no.  There is only a 7 day in-house warranty on 5/10 ratings. Rating 1-4/10: We don't mess with these, nor should you :).
