Medjool Dates (Pitted)

But in fact, this California superfruit, hand-picked in sunny Coachella Valley, is low on the glycemic index, which means it won’t spike your blood sugar. Medjool Dates contain many beneficial nutrients, including dietary fiber, which promotes the growth of “good” bacteria that produce various nutrients necessary for optimal health and great energy. They also contain calcium and phosphorus, both essential in maintaining strong bones and teeth, as well as potassium, magnesium, vitamin B6 and iron. (https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/fdc-app.html#/food-details/168191/nutrients) Medjool Dates thrive in the desert heat of Coachella Valley in sunny California where each one is picked by hand only when perfectly ripe.  We keep these beauties at their peak by storing them at a chilly 40 degrees until to preserve their nutrients and delicate flavor.  We’ve removed the pits to make them even easier to enjoy (although maybe harder to resist!). Use them to sweeten almost anything from smoothies to baked goods to nut mylks.  They’re a perfect stand-alone snack, but stuffed with nut butter and chocolate or a soft cheese and maple-roasted pecans they are elevated to the divine. So the next time your sweet tooth whispers in your ear, answer it with a plump, creamy date that delivers feel-good energy any time of the day (or night!). Ingredients: Organic Pitted Medjool Dates (Phoenix dactylifera) Allergy Info: Packaged in a facility that also processes tree nuts. Storage Info: Refrigeration recommended.
