Danish Modern Tall Bookcase

A tall Danish bookcase in Cherry is the kind of vertical find that changes a room without crowding it. The Scandinavian lines stay quiet and linear, with a warm Cherry tone that reads richer than pale oak and lighter than a dark stain. At nearly seven and a half feet, it is built for books, records, and the objects you actually want to see. The case is wood throughout, with a slim 13-inch depth and a 36.5-inch width that sits neatly against a wall. Overall it measures 36.5 by 13 by 88 inches, so the height does the work while the footprint stays modest. Condition is good: an honest consignment piece with the light wear you would expect from a well-used Danish bookcase, still solid and ready for another chapter. If you have been hunting vintage bookcases & shelving Portland, this one earns a look for its proportions alone. Style it in a living room or study as a full-height library wall, paired with a low sofa, a woven chair, and a single ceramic lamp so the Cherry grain stays the warm note. It also works beside a desk when you want storage that reaches up instead of out. Note: lifestyle images may be AI-generated.
