Mean Flamingo

The Mean Flamingo is the big axe version of one of my most popular designs.  The original hatchet, "The Flamingo", was a quirky design I stumbled onto by accident but it's turned into a fan favorite and I figured it was high time I made a Big Axe version. Because I have a hard time leaving things well enough alone though, I couldn't just scale the original up and thus the angry eye embellishment found it's way onto my sketchpad.  Designed to maximize scoring ability, the blade has a max size of 4 & 5/8" and the overall weight will come in at 2.7 lbs.  The Mean Flamingo uses a modified Infinity Axes handle design.  1.5 inches  instead of 1.25 inches wide.  When working on the design, I felt the slightly larger handle matched the aesthetics better and would give more support to a heftier head.  The handle is still held in place by a 1/4 inch roll pin, making replacing a broken handle a breeze. PLEASE NOTE: When ordering this axe, The default is 1 handle, for additional handles, please order them separately.  This axe meets both IATF and other organization's size and weight regulations for big axe competitions. If you're unsure, feel free to contact me. Please remember that when you place an order, you are getting in the production queue.  Expect 3-8 weeks for delivery.  Feel free to contact me directly for a better estimate on the timeline.
