MDC E2XTL V3 EZP Head

Malkoff E2XTL V3 EZP (Easy Programmable) Head. The Head fits Dual Fuel (DF) thread patterned bodies for a single 18650 sized battery. This Head can be reprogrammed to use different combinations of the Low, Medium, and High light modes. The full output runtime on a 3500mah 18650 battery is approximately 1 hour. The full output runtime on 2x CR123 is approximately 30-45 minutes. The LED is 5700K Cool white. APPROXIMATE OUTPUTS AND DRAWS AT VARIOUS VOLTAGES  VOLTAGE 3.7-4.2 Volts (18650)* 5.0-6.0v (2x CR123) LUMENS 8/80/1050-1150** 10/80/800 CANDELA high = 60-65K high = 50-55K MAH DRAW 10/85/2800 30/100/1400 *Below 3.6 volts the head will slowly taper in output. Low Voltage Protection (fast taper) doesn't start until 3 volts. Below 2.7 volts the flashlight will turn itself off. The use of an unprotected cell entails additional risks.    **Actual highest output is dependent on the internal resistance of the battery. Dimensions: Diameter:  1.24 inches Length:  1.7 inches Weight:  1.6 oz This head was designed for rugged service from the ground up.  It is fully potted to stand up to rough service and recoil.  This item is Covered by Our Lifetime Warranty.  E2XTL V3 EZP DETAILS: The MDC E2XTL V3 EZP Head is constructed of 6061 T6 Aluminum and is HA Black Type III Hard Anodized.  It is primarily designed for use with a single 18650 rechargeable Li-ion cell. We discourage the use of unprotected batteries for overall safety. Being Dual Fuel capable, it will also work with 2x CR123 primary cells at a reduced output. This Head produces a focused beam that will reach out 1000+ feet with good spill. The LED is 5700K Cool white. Mode of Operation for E2XTL V3 EZP 3 Mode Head: The default programming is Low - Medium - High. The Output Levels for a Single 18650 are: Low = approximately 8 Lumens Med = approximately 80 Lumens High = approximately 1050-1150 Lumens (depending on the internal resistance of the battery) The Output Levels for 2x CR123 are: Low = approximately 8 Lumens Med = approximately 80 Lumens High = approximately 800 Lumens MODE GROUPS L-M-H (default) L-H M-H H (only) H-M-L H-L H-M PROGRAMMING THE LIGHT (watch the video) The light is programmed using a series of short and long button presses.  A short button press is a short momentary (<0.5 second) button press that DOES NOT latch/click the switch. A long button press is a long (>0.5 second) button press. In most cases latching the switch is not necessary. To enter Programming Mode perform 20 short button presses. It is not necessary to count or be exact. Simply perform short presses until the light begins to fast strobe. Hold the long button press. The light will fast strobe for approximately 5 seconds. After the strobe, the light will emit flashes at 2 second intervals. Count the number of flashes and release the button when the desired mode group (number of flashes) is reached.  Releasing the the button during the fast strobe will reset to default (L-M-H). PROGRAMMING EXAMPLE To make your light single mode high only. Short press until the light starts strobing. Hold the press. Once the strobing stops - Release the button after the 4th flash.  This item is Covered by Our Lifetime Warranty.  Made in the USA. Some parts not domestically sourced.
