McIntosh MAC7200

The McIntosh MAC7200 is a high-performance stereo receiver that combines 200 watts per channel with a wide range of inputs and advanced technologies to deliver exceptional sound quality and versatility. Designed for audiophiles and music enthusiasts, the MAC7200 integrates modern digital technology with McIntosh's long legacy of analog expertise, all housed in a visually striking and durable chassis. Powerful Performance The MAC7200 provides 200 watts per channel to drive your speakers, ensuring robust and dynamic sound. This output is powered by McIntosh's Autoformer technology, which allows it to deliver full power to speakers regardless of impedance. This unique feature ensures optimal performance across a wide range of speakers. AM/FM Tuner McIntosh’s reputation for exceptional tuners dates back to the 1950s, and the MAC7200's built-in AM/FM tuner continues that legacy. Offering unmatched clarity, it delivers radio signals with minimal noise and distortion. The tuner includes a signal quality monitor that displays multipath and noise levels, helping you fine-tune your antenna placement for the best possible reception. You can save up to 20 presets for each band (AM and FM), and the tuner supports Radio Data System (RDS) to display information like station names, song titles, and artist names. 14 Inputs for Versatile Connectivity The MAC7200 is equipped with an impressive array of 14 inputs, covering both analog and digital sources. Analog inputs include 1 balanced input, 5 unbalanced inputs, and 1 each for Moving Coil and Moving Magnet turntables. On the digital side, it offers 2 coaxial inputs, 2 optical inputs, 1 USB input (supporting high-resolution audio up to 32-bit/384kHz), and a proprietary MCT input for use with McIntosh’s MCT500 SACD/CD transport. All inputs can be custom-named for easier control and setup. DA1 Digital Audio Module At the heart of the digital section is the DA1 Digital Audio Module, which can be replaced with future modules to ensure the MAC7200 stays up to date with evolving digital audio technologies. This module includes a Quad Balanced 8-channel, 32-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) that supports DSD256 and DXD 384kHz for high-resolution audio playback. McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks The MAC7200 features McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks, which not only provide a bold visual statement but also enhance cooling efficiency, allowing the receiver to operate at peak performance without excessive heat buildup. Connected to high-current output transistors, these heatsinks help eliminate warm-up time, so the MAC7200 is ready to deliver high-quality sound immediately after powering on. Power Guard: This technology prevents distortion and clipping, ensuring your speakers and amplifier are safe even during high-volume listening sessions. Sentry Monitor: Automatically protects the amplifier from damage in case of short circuits. Home Theater PassThru: Allows you to integrate the MAC7200 into your home theater setup, using its amplifier for front speakers while maintaining full functionality with your home theater receiver. Bass and Treble Tone Controls: Adjust the sound to your liking without sacrificing audio quality. High Drive Headphone Amplifier: Equipped with the Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD), this feature enhances headphone listening by simulating the natural soundstage of speakers. Timeless McIntosh Design The MAC7200 retains McIntosh's signature design elements, including the iconic blue watt meters, a black glass front panel with aluminum end caps, and a glowing McIntosh logo. The aesthetic is designed to fit seamlessly into any high-end audio setup while delivering the premium build quality McIntosh is known for. The McIntosh MAC7200 is a versatile and powerful stereo receiver that combines cutting-edge technology, audiophile-grade performance, and McIntosh’s iconic design. With its 200 watts per channel, 14 inputs, high-quality AM/FM tuner, and support for high-resolution digital formats, the MAC7200 is an excellent choice for music lovers who demand both performance and style in their audio systems.
