McIntosh MA352

The MA352 Integrated Amplifier is a hybrid model that seamlessly merges the best aspects of vacuum tube and solid-state audio design principles. This results in an amplifier that not only captivates with its appearance but also delivers exceptional sound quality, blending these two distinct audio technologies. Designed entirely with analog components, the MA352 features a vacuum tube preamp section powered by a pair of 12AX7A and 12AT7 tubes. Its output stage utilizes a direct-coupled solid-state amplifier, delivering 200 Watts per channel into 8 Ohm speakers or 320 Watts per channel into 4 Ohm speakers, providing ample power to drive almost any speaker setup. Dual blue Watt meters accurately display power output for both speaker impedances. The MA352 offers 2 balanced and 3 unbalanced inputs, along with a Moving Magnet phono input with adjustable loading for turntable connections. It is equipped with gold-plated speaker binding posts to prevent corrosion and ensure high-quality signal transmission to your speakers. Additionally, a stereo preamplifier output is available to connect a higher-powered amplifier or add powered subwoofers for enhanced low-frequency response. Packed with McIntosh's proprietary technologies, the MA352 includes: Power Guard® technology, which monitors the output signal for over-driving and adjusts the input in real-time to prevent damaging distortion. Sentry Monitor™ short-circuit protection, which disengages the output stage if safe operating levels are exceeded and automatically resets when conditions stabilize. McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks™, which connect to high-current output transistors to reduce thermal lag and improve warm-up time. A High Drive headphone amplifier with Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD®). A 5-band analog tone control, allowing manual adjustment of audio frequencies (+/- 12dB per band). Home Theater Pass Through for seamless integration into home theater systems. Power Control for easy system on/off operation, along with Data Ports for remote control commands to connected devices. This amplifier sits within a polished stainless steel chassis, with vintage McIntosh die-cast aluminum name badges on either side. It features blue output meters, control knobs, an illuminated logo, and a black glass front panel with LED backlighting, offering both aesthetic appeal and premium functionality. The MA352 can be paired with a variety of audio sources, including CD players, turntables, media streamers, and speakers, to create a comprehensive home audio system.
