Compact and Elegant Design for Premium Grinding The Mazzer Philos is a premium light-commercial single-dose grinder crafted for baristas who demand precision in both performance and aesthetics. With its compact footprint, sleek lines inspired by the Mazzer ZM, and high-quality materials like stainless steel, brass, and anodized aluminum, the Philos fits seamlessly onto any countertop, even in the smallest spaces. Its robust 12.5 kg build ensures long-term durability while prioritizing sustainability, with all coffee-contact parts certified food-safe for your peace of mind. Zero Retention and Effortless Maintenance Designed with a vertical burr orientation and a carefully engineered pre-breaker system, the Philos minimizes grind retention and contamination, making it easy to switch between different coffees or brewing methods without waste. An integrated dose finisher ensures the chute remains clean, and users can access the grinding chamber without tools for quick, simple cleaning—all without losing the grind setting. Its ergonomic adjustment dial and optional hopper removal further streamline workflow and maintenance, making it ideal for busy home users or light commercial settings. Customizable Grind Settings: Stepped or Stepless The Philos offers the flexibility to operate as either a stepped or stepless grinder. In stepped mode, ultra-fine increments as small as 6 microns allow for repeatable and precise adjustments across all brewing methods. For those who want infinite dialing precision, the Philos easily converts to stepless mode. Whether you're dialing in espresso or adjusting for a perfect pour-over, the Philos gives you full control to perfect your grind. Performance Across All Brew Methods The Mazzer Philos supports all extraction methods, thanks to two sets of 64mm flat burrs designed for exceptional versatility. Choose the I200D burrs for enhanced flavor clarity, vibrant acidity, and fruity notes—perfect for lighter roasts and nuanced extractions. Or opt for the I189D burrs, evolved from the iconic Mazzer Mini, for full-bodied extractions and rich, velvety mouthfeel—ideal for traditional Italian-style espresso and medium-dark roasts. Both burr sets are made from food-safe stainless steel and are factory-seasoned for efficiency from day one. Built for Consistency Precision machining, carefully polished mating surfaces, and tight tolerances ensure that the Philos delivers a uniform grind and consistent results, shot after shot. With an integrated vibration-damping system and low operational frequencies (1400–1600 RPM depending on frequency), the Philos operates quietly and smoothly, even during prolonged use. A 400-watt motor ensures powerful, efficient grinding without overheating, preserving the delicate flavors of your coffee.
