Pure Ceremonial Cacao Block, 1 lb – Organic Mayan Cacao Paste from Guatemala

100% pure Mayan organic ceremonial Cacao, artisanally prepared by indigenous mothers in Mayan Guatemala. We share with you our original presentation of a 1 pound cacao paste block; a rich and delicious bar of gold made from the ‘Drink of the Gods’! Mayan organic ceremonial Cacao beans are sourced directly from our farmers in Alta Verapaz; the highlands of Central Guatemala, where the fruits of the cacao trees are harvested and the beans extracted, fermented, and dried, ready for our team of Mayan mothers to work their loving magic! In the home of cacao in San Marcos La Laguna, Lake Atitlan, our cacao beans are roasted, hand-peeled, and ground into a paste before then being molded into the blocks of 100% pure cacao for your delight!     Cacao (Kah-kaw) was first grown in Central and South America during the Aztec and Mayan civilizations. It was used ceremonially as an offering to the Ancient Gods and was valued so highly that it was also a standard unit of currency in Mesoamerican native cultures.     Cacao has been enjoyed for thousands of years for its health-promoting qualities. It is a heart opener and womb healer. It gives a mental and emotional lift and provides vital nutrients such as iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamins A, B1, C, D, and E, antioxidants, and flavonoids. It is indeed a sacred superfood! *100% Natural  *Unsweetened  *Vegan  *Gluten-Free  *Dairy-Free  *Soy-Free Maya Moon Cacao promotes fair trade and provides a dignified wage to our Mayan mothers.
