Maximum Controls MXDSP Swing Actuator Control Board

Genuine OEM Control Board for Maximum Controls Swing Actuator Gate Operators The MXDSP is the genuine OEM Maximum Controls DSP Arm Controller, the main control board for Maximum Controls swing actuator gate operators including the Max Arm, Max Super Arm 1300, Max Super Arm 2300, and Max Ultra Arm. Mounted inside the operator's control box, the MXDSP drives the actuator motor or motors, manages all gate-cycle logic, interfaces with safety sensors, accessory devices, and access control inputs, and provides the diagnostic and programming interface for the installation. The MXDSP is the correct factory-sourced replacement when the existing control board fails due to lightning damage, water intrusion, power surge, or extended service life. Beyond standard motor control, the MXDSP carries 16-position ERD (Electronic Reversing Device) sensitivity adjustment for both opening and closing directions with independent motor overload monitoring on Motor 1 and Motor 2, monitored UL 325 2018 entrapment protection inputs for both Normally Closed and 10K resistor-terminated sensors with separate channels for Opening, Photo Close, and Open-Close sensor placements, an integrated three-slot loop detector rack for Exit, Center, and Safety loops, and built-in maglock control with adjustable disengagement timing. The on-board LCD display and programming buttons walk the installer through date and time setup, mode configuration, and feature toggles in plain language, removing guesswork from the commissioning process. A USB OBD and Black Box port logs the last 8,000 events to any standard USB flash drive for download to a computer or smartphone, giving installers full event history for field diagnostics. Key Features Universal across the Maximum Controls swing actuator gate operator line, supporting the Max Arm, Max Super Arm 1300, Max Super Arm 2300, and Max Ultra Arm through DIP-switch configuration of actuator type and gate length category Single or dual operator support selectable via the on-board operator switch, controlling bi-parting gate pairs from a single board Three battery backup power-fail modes (Leave Open, Leave Closed, Open 1 Time) configurable to the site's access and security requirements during AC outages Solar Mode selection reduces standby power draw for solar-powered installations and extends battery runtime Monitored UL 325 2018 entrapment protection inputs accept both Normally Closed and 10K-terminated sensors across separate channels for Opening, Photo Close, and Open-Close placements Built-in event logging stores the last 8,000 events to the integrated USB OBD and Black Box port for download to any computer or smartphone, simplifying field diagnostics and warranty documentation 16-position ERD sensitivity adjustment per direction with independent motor overload indicators for Motor 1 and Motor 2 Three internal loop detector slots (Exit, Center, Safety) with external loop detector input also supported via the seven-pin terminal LCD display with on-board PROGRAM, navigation, motion control (Open/Stop/Close), and Jog buttons for full commissioning and field service without external tools Technical Specifications SKU: MXDSP Manufacturer: Maximum Controls Product Type: DSP Arm Controller swing gate operator control board Compatibility: Maximum Controls swing actuator gate operators, including Max Arm, Max Super Arm 1300, Max Super Arm 2300, and Max Ultra Arm Operator Configuration: Single or dual operator (selectable via on-board switch) Input Power: 115VAC or 230VAC selectable via the Maximum Controls Toroid Box, 7A fuse, single-phase Battery Backup Support: Two 12VDC 7Ah batteries (not included with control board) Accessory Power Outputs: 24VDC and 12VDC Entrapment Protection Inputs: UL Sensor N.C. channels (Open Only NC, Photo CLS NC, Open/CLS NC) and UL Sensor 10K channels (Open Only 10K, Photo CLS 10K, Open/CLS 10K), all monitored Loop Detector Capacity: Three internal slots (Exit, Center, Safety) plus external loop detector input via seven-pin terminal Event Logging: USB OBD and Black Box port, stores last 8,000 events for download to any USB-capable device Programming Interface: Integrated LCD display with PROGRAM, navigation, motion control, and Jog buttons ERD Sensitivity: 16 positions per direction (Opening and Closing), independent motor overload indicators Maglock Control: Built-in maglock relay with 1.5-second or 2.5-second disengagement delay options Access Control Inputs: Radio, Fire Department, MAX Open, Strike, Keypad/Card, three-button station, Tamper, Gate Disable, External Alarm Reset Status Outputs: Gate Open and Gate Closed dry contacts Solar Mode: Selectable via on-board switch for solar-powered installations UL Compliance: UL 325 2018 entrapment protection compliant Condition: New, genuine OEM part Conclusion The MXDSP is the correct factory replacement for the control board in any Maximum Controls swing actuator gate operator. After installation, configure the Mode A DIP switches to match the installed actuator type and gate length category per the operator manual to ensure proper ramp-down behavior and force calibration. When replacing the control board, inspect the actuator wiring harness, limit sensor cables, entrapment protection devices, and accessory power transformers for damage or wear at the same time, as electrical faults in those components are common causes of control board failure in the first place.   Installation / User Manual
