Maximum Controls MX052 Brushless DC Replacement Motor

Brushless DC Replacement Motor for Maximum Controls Operators The MX052 is the genuine OEM replacement brushless DC motor for Maximum Controls gate operators produced between 2013 and 2018, covering both slide gate and swing gate platforms. Confirmed compatible models include the MAX 2200 PRO, MAX 1700 FS, MAX F18 PRO, Megatron 2200 HP, Phantom F6, and Phantom 2000. Mounting inline on top of the operator gearbox, the MX052 restores the brushless DC drive system to factory specification without replacing the gearbox, chain drive, or control board. This is a motor-only part; the operator unit and all other operator components are not included. The MX052 brushless DC motor uses Hall Effect magnetic sensing to sample gate position at over 30 points per inch of travel, giving the operator control board the continuous positional feedback needed to execute precise speed ramp-up and ramp-down at both ends of the gate cycle. This reduces mechanical stress on the drive components across the life of the installation. In dual-operator configurations, the Hall Effect sensors synchronize both gates at matched speeds through the full travel arc. The motor also incorporates a dynamic magnetic brake that arrests gate movement instantly on obstacle contact, working in addition to the operator's ERD force detection system. Maximum Controls rates the MX052 at an output torque equivalent to a 1-1/4 HP AC motor, a maximum operating temperature of 165°F (74°C), and a service life of approximately 35,000 hours, which equates to approximately 6 million cycles. Key Features Genuine Maximum Controls OEM replacement motor covering both slide gate and swing gate operator platforms produced between 2013 and 2018 Hall Effect magnetic position sensing samples gate location at over 30 points per inch of travel, providing the operator control board with the feedback needed to ramp gate speed up and down smoothly at each end of the cycle Dynamic magnetic brake arrests gate movement instantly on obstacle contact, working in addition to the operator's ERD force sensing Brushless DC motor technology withstands operating temperatures up to 165°F (74°C), extending service life in high-heat environments beyond the thermal ceiling of conventional AC motors Output torque equivalent to a 1-1/4 HP AC motor; rated service life of approximately 35,000 hours and 6 million cycles suited to high-cycle commercial and industrial applications Hall Effect positional feedback synchronizes dual-operator gate pairs at matched speeds through the full travel arc Motor only; gearbox, chain drive, control board, and operator housing are not included Technical Specifications Part Number: MX052 Motor Type: Brushless DC Sensing Technology: Hall Effect magnetic position sensing Position Sampling Rate: Over 30 samples per inch of gate travel Torque Equivalent: 1-1/4 HP AC output torque Rated Service Life: Approximately 35,000 hours / approximately 6 million cycles Maximum Operating Temperature: 165°F (74°C) Mount Position: Inline, top of gearbox Compatibility: Maximum Controls MAX 2200 PRO, MAX 1700 FS, MAX F18 PRO, Megatron 2200 HP, Phantom F6, Phantom 2000 (2013-2018 production) Includes: Motor only Manufacturer: Maximum Controls Condition: New, genuine OEM part Conclusion The MX052 is the correct factory replacement motor for Maximum Controls operators produced between 2013 and 2018 across both slide gate and swing gate platforms. When replacing the drive motor, inspect the gearbox condition and chain drive wear concurrently, as these components share the same service cycle. Confirm your operator model and production year before ordering.
