Maximum Controls MX022 Position Collar Assembly

Adjustable Open and Closed Limit Rings for Swing Gate Travel The Maximum Controls MX022 Position Collar Assembly is a replacement open and closed limit-ring assembly for compatible MAX MEGATRON pad-mounted swing gate operators. Installed around the operator output assembly, the adjustable rings identify the gate’s fully open and fully closed positions so the control system can learn and stop travel at the correct points. The assembly uses separate color-coded rings for each direction of travel. The green OPEN ring and red CLOSED ring are rotated independently until the corresponding limit LED activates, then secured in position with their adjustment screws. Correct positioning is required before cycling the operator because improperly set or loose rings can prevent the control board from learning the gate limits or allow the settings to slip during operation. The MX022 is intended for replacement when the original position collar, limit rings, adjustment tabs, or securing hardware are worn, cracked, damaged, or no longer hold their settings. After installation, both limits must be adjusted according to the operator manual before the gate is placed back into service. Key Features Replacement position collar and limit-ring assembly for compatible Maximum Controls swing gate operators Maximum Controls part number MX022 Separate adjustable OPEN and CLOSED travel-limit rings Color-coded green OPEN ring and red CLOSED ring Works with the operator’s open and closed limit sensors and indicator LEDs Allows independent adjustment of both gate travel endpoints Securing screws hold each limit ring after adjustment Replacement for damaged, worn, slipping, or broken limit components Used on compatible MAX MEGATRON pad-mounted swing operator assemblies Technical Specifications Manufacturer: Maximum Controls Part Number: MX022 Product Type: Position collar and limit-ring assembly Application: Swing gate operator travel-limit adjustment Operator Type: Compatible MAX MEGATRON pad-mounted swing gate operators Limit Functions: Open position and closed position Open Limit Ring: Green Closed Limit Ring: Red Adjustment Method: Rotate each ring until the corresponding limit LED activates Position Detection: Works with the operator’s open and closed limit sensors Mounting Location: Around the operator output and position-sensing assembly Function: Establishes the gate’s fully open and fully closed stopping points Included Components: Position collar assembly with open and closed limit rings Use Case: Replacement for worn, damaged, cracked, loose, or slipping limit components Installation Requirement: Limits must be adjusted before normal gate cycling Adjustment Warning: Tighten both limit-ring screws with no gap after setting the limits Condition: New replacement part Verification Required: Confirm the operator model, existing limit assembly, and parts diagram before ordering Conclusion The Maximum Controls MX022 Position Collar Assembly restores the adjustable open and closed travel limits on compatible MAX MEGATRON swing gate operators. Proper adjustment and tightening of both rings are necessary for the control system to recognize the gate positions and stop travel at the intended endpoints.
