Maximum Controls - MAX SUPER ARM 2300 Dual-Gate Operator Kit

Linear Actuator Swing Gate Operator for High-Traffic, and High-Wind Installations The Maximum Controls MAX Super Arm 2300 is a high-capacity linear actuator swing gate operator designed for installations involving large, heavy gate leaves, high-traffic cycling, or high-wind exposure. The actuator, manufactured in Germany, is driven by a 24V DC motor through a direct gear drive with a stainless steel output shaft, a stroke range of 37 in to 54.75 in, and no internal chains, belts, or pulleys. Gate capacity scales with leaf length: 2,300 lbs at 8 ft, 2,000 lbs at 12 ft, 1,800 lbs at 16 ft, and 1,500 lbs at 20 ft. Both push-open and pull-open installation orientations are supported. The operator is UL 325/991 Class I, II, III, and IV compliant, meets the UL 2018 standard, and is ETL listed and CSA approved. The Super Arm 2300 is self-locking by design, meaning a magnetic lock is not required to hold the gate in the closed position, a meaningful distinction for high-wind sites where gate movement under load is a concern. The patented brake and clutch system raises the impact threshold to 3 tons: when vehicle strike force exceeds that threshold while the gate is in motion, the clutch releases and automatically resets without manual intervention. Security features include a Tamper Alert relay that activates on forced gate movement, a Gate Disable function that blocks all standard open commands except Fire Department and Max Open inputs, advanced anti-tailgate detection, and magnetic lock relay outputs with selectable delay times. The AC Control Box, assembled in the USA, houses the DSP Arm Controller, two 12V 7Ah AGM batteries, a 10A power supply with two 115VAC accessory outlets, a loop rack, LCD display, jog key switch, and UL reset button in a gold zinc plated and powder-coated steel enclosure. The two included batteries deliver approximately 500 cycles in the event of power loss across three selectable backup modes. Lightning protection covers all 35 input, output, and communication channels at up to 20,000V and 10,000A, guaranteed to withstand any strike more than 50 feet away. Key Features Self-locking actuator holds the gate in the closed position without a magnetic lock, addressing wind loading and unauthorized movement on high-exposure installations. Patented 3-ton overload clutch releases automatically on vehicle impact while the gate is in motion and resets without manual intervention, protecting the actuator from collision damage. Direct gear drive with stainless steel output shaft; no internal chains, belts, or pulleys. Stroke range 37 in to 54.75 in. Continuous duty rated from -4°F to 165°F (-20°C to +74°C) without a heater. Gate capacity scales to 20 ft leaf length: 2,300 lbs at 8 ft, 2,000 lbs at 12 ft, 1,800 lbs at 16 ft, and 1,500 lbs at 20 ft. Two independently adjustable closing speed controls with 16 positions each, enabling asymmetric speed synchronization for bi-parting gates with unequal opening angles. Dual 12V 7Ah AGM batteries deliver approximately 500 backup cycles with three selectable modes; Magic Box option extends low-voltage remote power wiring up to 1,000 ft. Solar mode reduces idle draw to 5 milliamps for off-grid installations. Tamper Alert relay activates on forced gate movement; Gate Disable blocks all standard open commands from tampered keypads or exit loops, activatable by key-switch or timer. Lightning protection across all 35 channels rated up to 20,000V and 10,000A, guaranteed to withstand any strike beyond 50 ft. Optional Max Cloud App supports cellular remote operation, virtual transmitter management for over 10,000 users, time-restricted access, guest pass issuance, and remote diagnostics retrieval.
