Maximum Controls - MAX EDGE 1 Safety Edge for Slide Gate Operators

48 Inch Reversing Safety Edge for UL 325 Slide Gate Compliance The Maximum Controls MAX Edge 1 is a maintenance-free EPDM rubber reversing safety edge designed for slide gate installations where UL 325 2018 entrapment protection compliance is required. Manufactured in Germany and ETL listed, the MAX Edge 1 uses a large cushioned contact surface with soft touch engagement to detect obstructions during gate travel. When contact is made, the edge triggers gate reversal, stopping movement to reduce the risk of injury or equipment damage. The EPDM construction and rainproof sealed ends allow the sensor to perform across an operating temperature range of -13°F to +167°F (-25°C to +75°C), covering installations in extreme cold and high-heat climates without heaters or additional weatherproofing. Multidirectional sensing detects contact from multiple angles rather than a single face, providing broader coverage on the leading edge of the gate. The 48 in aluminum attachment bar is included for mounting to the gate frame. A 15 ft (5M) PUR matte black attachment cable connects the edge sensor to the gate operator control input. The MAX Edge 1 is maintenance free with no moving parts requiring service or adjustment.
