Maximum Controls - MAX AC CONTROL BOX for Swing Gate Operators

DSP Arm Controller for Maximum Controls Linear Swing Gate Operators The Maximum Controls MAX AC Control Box is the control enclosure for the full Maximum Controls linear actuator swing gate operator line, compatible with the Max Arm, Max Ultra Arm, MAX Super Arm 1300, and MAX Super Arm 2300. Assembled in the USA, the enclosure houses the DSP Arm Controller, two 12V 7Ah AGM batteries, a 10A power supply with two 115VAC accessory outlets, a loop rack with Safety Loop, Center Loop, and Exit Loop inputs, an LCD display, a jog key switch for emergency access or egress, and an exterior UL reset button. The steel housing carries two-layer corrosion protection through gold zinc plating and electrostatic powder coating, with gold plated automobile-grade connectors throughout. A lockable steel cover secures the interior against unauthorized access. Input voltage is switchable between 115VAC / 6A and 230VAC / 2A, single phase. The DSP Arm Controller supports both single and dual actuator configurations, making this control box applicable to single-gate and bi-parting installations alike. Two independently adjustable closing speed controls at 16 positions each allow asymmetric closing synchronization on bi-parting gates where leaves open to different angles. Entrapment protection meets UL 325 Type A Inherent via the built-in ERD sensor, with additional inputs for normally closed (N.C.) and 10K-type sensors supporting UL 325 Type B1 photo cell and Type B2 sensing edge devices, monitored when used. The on-board OBD Black Box port logs operational events downloadable via USB for field or factory diagnosis. Security features include a Tamper Alert relay that activates on forced gate movement, a Gate Disable function that blocks all standard open commands except Fire Department and Max Open inputs, advanced anti-tailgate detection, and magnetic lock relay outputs with selectable delay times. The two included 12V 7Ah AGM batteries deliver approximately 500 backup cycles across three selectable modes. A Solar Mode switch reduces idle draw to 5 milliamps for solar-powered installations, and the Magic Box option extends low-voltage remote power wiring up to 1,000 ft. Lightning protection covers all 35 input, output, and communication channels at up to 20,000V and 10,000A.
