Maximum Controls - MAX 1700 FS PRO Slide Gate Operator

Fail-Safe Slide Gate Operator for Commercial and Industrial Access The Maximum Controls MAX 1700 FS PRO is a fail-safe, high-traffic commercial brushless DC slide gate operator built for gated communities, apartment complexes, industrial facilities, and public storage applications. It handles level gates up to 1,700 lbs and 35 ft at speeds up to 12 inches per second, rated UL 325/991 Class I through IV. "Fail-safe" means back-drivable manual operation upon loss of both AC power and battery: the gate can be pushed back via local keyed disconnect, remote keyed disconnect, or jog switch, each of which independently disengages the dynamic braking system. In closed position, that same brake resists forced entry and triggers an audible alarm with relay output if push-back is attempted. The direct drive system uses a Size 60, 20:1 cast iron gearbox with no internal belts, chains, or pulleys. The brushless DC motor uses Hall Effect sensing at over 30 positions per inch of gate travel to execute precise ramp-up, ramp-down, and instantaneous obstruction stops. The Matrix III Advanced Controller logs 8,000 events to non-volatile memory, downloadable by USB for field or factory diagnostics. The included AGM battery backup averages 200 cycles on battery power, and the Solar Ready module accepts an external panel through a built-in regulator. Key Features Three independent fail-safe release paths: local keyed disconnect, remote keyed disconnect, and jog switch. Dynamic brake resists forced entry in closed position and triggers audible alarm and relay output on unauthorized push-back. Hall Effect motor sensing at 30+ positions per inch enables precision ramp-up, ramp-down, and zero over-coasting on single and bi-parting track configurations. Black Box event log accessible via OBD port; USB downloadable as .TXT for on-site or factory diagnostics. AGM battery backup included; Solar Ready with built-in regulator. Low-voltage remote power-up supported to 500 ft without onsite battery. 44-channel lightning protection covers all inputs, outputs, power lines, and loop detector connections. Patented tamper-alert relay, anti-tailgate function, Gate Disable mode (key-switch or 7-day timer), and programmable partial open cycles for high-traffic or high-security applications. Continuous duty at extreme temperature ranges; overheating not possible. Includes 25 ft #40 Nickel Plated Chain and Brackets. 5-year warranty on all components.
