Maxi Bush Bean Seeds

About- This French filet type green bean produces all of its beans above the leaves making them extremely easy to pick. Produces 7 inch long beans that are dark green, slender and full of flavor. Compact, bush-type plants make Maxi an ideal variety for small space gardens.  When and Where to Plant- Select a sunny location and plant when all danger of frost is past and the soil has warmed. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth over with a rake. Firm soil over seed and keep soil moist. For a continuous supply of fresh beans, plant every 3 weeks. Care and Harvest- Grows best in a soil with a pH between 6 and 7, and just a light application of fertilizer. Water at ground level to reduce the probability of disease. Pick beans every 2-3 days, when pods are 4-6 inches long and before seeds develop and the sides bulge. Hold the stem with one hand and pick with the other hand to avoid tearing the plant.
