One True Vine CD

Between her work as a civil rights activist, A Grammy-winning solo artist, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Mavis Staples has shaped a legacy as one of the most influential R&B stylists of her generation.  In her latest gospel-themed release One True Vine, the soulful singer continues to showcase her moving voice on commanding tracks such as Holy Ghost and Can You Get To That, a hearty polished Funkadelic cover.  A sense of resilience and positivity run through the album, especially on the confident, electric guitar-driven I Like The Things About Me, which flaunts a self-appreciation the legend has earned. - iTunes CD Details Release Date: June 25, 2013 Record Label: Anti- UPC: 045778720620 Number of Discs: 1 Listen Before You Buy
