Matilda II (close support)

The Matilda II (close support) miniature depicts the British infantry tank equipped with a 3-inch howitzer instead of the standard 2-pounder gun. Designed to provide fire support to infantry, it was heavily armored and excelled in defensive operations. Despite its slow speed, the Matilda II proved highly effective in early World War II battles, particularly in the North African Campaign, where it withstood enemy attacks with its strong armor.
