Match Set Point Abstract Painting

Match Set Point, 2026 By Kristen Coates 24”H x 36”W Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas Signed and titled on reverse A composition built on momentum. Layered blues move across the canvas in sweeping arcs and controlled interruptions, while pale green gestures and darker marks create a push-and-pull that feels both strategic and instinctive. There’s a tension here, not frantic, but focused. Shapes circle and collide, then resolve. The palette stays coastal, but the energy is competitive, decisive, athletic, deliberate. At 24 by 36 inches, this piece has range. Strong over a console, behind a sofa, or anchoring a room that needs movement without chaos. It holds its own while still leaving space to breathe.
