Loons mate for life. The medicine of loon is about increasing your awareness of diving within. The common loon can dive underwater up to 200 feet searching for fish. This is powerful symbolism for accessing the dimensions of yourself, that you otherwise would not have done before. Loons provide the knowledge of solidifying the imagination and making one aware of the power of dreams." --Margaret August
