Color de Esperanza is a small business founded by Paola Sanchez to support low-income mothers living in towns outside of Bogotá by teaching them the skills and providing the materials for them to make these lovely brooches while working from home so they can be with their young children. Commonly, women living in the towns where Color de Esperanza is present must commute between 2 and 4 hours round-trip to Bogotá for work.
