Martin D-X2E Molly Tuttle w/Softshell Case

The Martin D-X2E Molly Tuttle makes signature artist features more accessible than ever. Designed in collaboration with Molly and inspired by her vintage 1943 D-18, this model brings together classic design elements with modern durability, creating a guitar that feels both familiar and fresh. One of its standout features is the 1 11/16" nut width paired with a fast-playing 1940s neck profile with a standard taper—offered here for the first time in the X Series—which gives players a comfortable, vintage-inspired feel across the neck. The Dreadnought body combines a solid spruce top with figured mahogany HPL back and sides. Spruce provides clarity and dynamic range, while HPL adds stability and resilience, making this guitar a perfect choice for musicians who travel or face changing climates. Scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and projection, ensuring the guitar responds beautifully whether delicately strummed or driven by fiery flatpicking. The vintage sunburst top adds visual warmth, making it stand out while echoing Molly’s own love of vintage style. Custom details tie this guitar directly to Molly’s artistry. Nickel open gear tuners with oval buttons, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and her signature moon phase inlays give it a unique personality while maintaining Martin’s timeless aesthetic. With Martin E1 electronics for reliable stage performance, a built-in tuner, and a softshell case, the D-X2E Molly Tuttle is as practical as it is inspiring. It’s a guitar designed for players who admire Molly’s fearless approach to music and want to bring a touch of her style and specs into their own journey—proof that signature artistry can live at every level of Martin’s lineup.
