Martin D-28 Billy Strings

The Martin D-28 Billy Strings takes inspiration from Billy's beloved 1940 D-28 while incorporating a handful of modern refinements tailored to his fast, fluid playing style. At first glance, it carries the timeless look of a pre-war-style Martin, complete with bold herringbone trim, antique white binding, and East Indian rosewood construction. Underneath, however, this signature model introduces a unique 25" scale length and custom nut width that reduce string tension and make intricate runs, bends, and rapid-fire bluegrass licks feel effortless. Designed to bridge vintage tone and modern playability, the D-28 Billy Strings delivers the rich low end, strong projection, and clear articulation that have made the D-28 one of the most iconic acoustic guitars ever built. The Modified Low Oval neck profile and satin finish provide a comfortable feel up and down the neck, while custom details such as Billy's pre-printed signature label make this a fitting tribute to one of today's most influential acoustic players.
