Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 Aged

The Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 Aged is about as close as you can get to owning a pre-war Martin without stepping into vintage territory. Built using painstakingly researched 1937 specifications, this guitar captures the dry, powerful voice and responsive feel that made the original D-18 one of the most revered acoustic guitars ever produced. From its hide glue construction to its thermally aged Adirondack spruce top and braces, every detail has been carefully chosen to recreate the sound and character of a well-preserved Golden Era instrument.  What sets the Aged version apart is Martin's meticulously distressed finish treatment, giving the guitar the look and feel of an instrument that has spent decades being played and loved. The result is an exceptionally open and resonant dreadnought with tremendous clarity, strong fundamentals, and the woody, punchy character that players associate with the finest pre-war mahogany Martins. Combined with period-correct appointments and an Authentic 1937 neck profile, the D-18 Authentic 1937 Aged delivers an experience that feels remarkably close to holding an original.
