Martin Custom Shop D-18

The Custom Shop D-18 brings top-shelf tonewoods and handcrafted Martin quality within easy reach. Built with solid genuine mahogany and an Adirondack spruce top, it delivers clear, punchy tone with powerful projection—perfect for flatpicking, strumming, and everything in between. Hand-shaped Golden Era scalloped forward-shifted bracing and a traditional dovetail neck joint give it vintage-inspired resonance and dynamic response, while faux tortoise binding adds a unique twist on Style 18 tradition. It’s a special addition to our lineup that offers the full Custom Shop experience—no design session required. Whether you're stepping up to your dream guitar or adding something truly inspiring to your collection, the Custom Shop D-18 proves that high-end craftsmanship doesn’t have to be hard to find.   Top Material: Adirondack Spruce Finish Top: Gloss Top Color: Aging Toner Top Inlay Material: Multi-Stripe Top Detail: None Binding: Faux Tortoise Bridge Material: Ebony Bridge Style: GE Modern Belly - Drop in Saddle Bridge String Spacing: 2 5/32" Bridge Pin Material: Black Plastic Bridge Pin Dots: None Pickguard: Faux Tortoise Pickguard Inlay: None Rosette: Old Style 18 Multi-Stripe Saddle: Bone Saddle Radius: 16" Body Size: D-14 Fret Construction: Dovetail Neck Joint Back Material: Genuine Mahogany Side Material: Genuine Mahogany Back and Side Finish: Gloss Back and Sides Color: Dark Mahogany Back Detail: None Side Detail: None Back Purfling/Strip: Style 18 Back Inlay Material: None Side Inlay Material: None Bracing Pattern: Forward-Shifted X-Brace Brace Shape: GE-Scalloped Hand Shaped Brace Material: Adirondack Spruce Brace Size: 5/16" Heelcap: Faux Tortoise Endpiece: Faux Tortoise Endpiece Inlay: None Neck Shape: GE Modified Low Oval Neck Taper: High-Performance Taper Neck Material: Select Hardwood Neck Color: Dark Mahogany Finish Neck: Satin Scale Length: 25.4" Number of Frets Total: 20 Neck Joins Body At: 14th Fret Fingerboard Material: Ebony Fingerboard Width at 12th Fret: 2 1/8'' Fingerboard Width at Nut: 1 3/4'' Fingerboard Inlay Style: Old Style 18 Fingerboard Inlay Material: Abalone Fingerboard Binding Material: None Side Dots: White Headstock Shape: Solid with Square Taper Headplate Material: East Indian Rosewood Headplate Logo Style: Authentic Style Script Overlay Headplate Binding Material: None Tuning Machines: Nickel Open Gear Knob: Butterbean Nut Material: Bone
