It has soft, velvety leaves and pale pink or white flowers. Root: The root of the marshmallow plant is used for its medicinal properties. It is known for its mucilaginous (gel-like) content, which is believed to be responsible for many of its health benefits. Anti-Inflammatory: Marshmallow root has anti-inflammatory properties that may help reduce inflammation in various parts of the body, including the digestive tract and skin. Skin Health: When applied topically or used in a bath, marshmallow root tincture can help soothe irritated or inflamed skin conditions, such as eczema or dermatitis.
