WINEMAKER: Markus Niggli (Atlas Peak, Borra Vineyards) WHAT WE TASTED:  A smooth wine with lots of up-front fruit, notably black cherry, plum and a mélange of other black fruits with floral notes, a long lingering finish holding perhaps a kiss of cinnamon spice. A wine that can definitely hold its own with hearty and flavorful foods. AVA DESIGNATED: Lodi WHAT WE PAIRED: Lamb chops with rosemary Grilled portabella mushrooms Cheese plate with Aged Cheddar, Gouda, and Gorgonzola focaccia with artichokes, peppers and prosciutto PERSONALITY: Bold and beautiful.
