MARINE UTILITY TOWEL

On a boat, your towel takes a beating that a standard microfiber towel simply isn't built for. Salt, sunscreen, fish residue, gelcoat polish, and constant exposure to water and UV — the Marine Utility Towel is engineered to handle all of it. This heavy-duty, high-absorbency towel is the workhorse of the Cap'n Jax marine care line, built for drying hulls, wiping down surfaces, buffing product, and handling the full range of tasks that come with keeping a boat clean. At Chicago Jax Wax, we keep a stack of Marine Utility Towels on every boat detail. They're large enough to dry a hull efficiently, absorbent enough to pull water off gelcoat without streaking, and durable enough to hold up through hundreds of washes without losing their softness or performance. One towel that does everything — that's what the Marine Utility Towel is built to be. What It's Built For Hull drying — large, highly absorbent surface pulls water off gelcoat and fiberglass quickly and streak-free Product buffing — soft enough to buff Marine Detailer, Boat Wipe, and Marine Coating without scratching Post-wash wipedown — removes water spots and residue after rinsing General marine cleanup — handles salt spray, fish residue, sunscreen, and everyday boat grime Interior & cockpit surfaces — safe on vinyl, plastic, and upholstery Key Features Heavy-duty marine construction — built to withstand the UV exposure, salt, and repeated washing of the marine environment High absorbency — pulls water off surfaces quickly without leaving streaks or lint Soft on gelcoat & painted surfaces — won't scratch or mar marine finishes Machine washable — rinses clean and maintains performance through repeated use How to Use After washing or rinsing, unfold the towel and drag it across the hull in overlapping strokes to pull water off the surface For product buffing, fold the towel into quarters and use the flat face to buff in straight strokes Rinse the towel frequently when used for heavy cleanup tasks Machine wash after use and allow to air dry — avoid fabric softener, which reduces absorbency Pro tip: Keep dedicated Marine Utility Towels for hull drying and separate ones for product buffing. Cross-contaminating a drying towel with polish or coating residue reduces its effectiveness for drying and can leave streaks on your gelcoat.
