Marantz AV10 Reference 15.4 Channel

An Exceptional Cinematic Experience For superior performance and versatility in home theater setups, consider the Marantz AV 10 preamp/processor. Featuring cutting-edge processing and premium audio components, it allows you to create your ideal surround sound system with up to 15 speakers and four subwoofers arranged in your space. Unlike a conventional home theater receiver, this unit lacks internal amplification. This absence reduces heat and noise produced during amplification, thereby enhancing the quality of your audio and visual experience. The Marantz AMP 10 is the specially designed amplifier to pair with the AV 10. However, you can connect this pre/pro to any external power amplifiers using either balanced (XLR) or unbalanced (RCA) cables. For optimal performance, especially if your amplifier supports it, I recommend using XLR connections to minimize noise and ensure a clean, robust signal. Sophisticated Audio and Video Processing The AV 10 is packed with advanced technology within its copper chassis. The Audyssey MultEQ® XT32 multi-channel processing calibrates your home theater speakers for optimal performance. A clock jitter reducer enhances the clarity of your digital music and streaming files, revealing depth and detail. The high-quality digital-to-analog converter accurately decodes high-resolution music files, allowing you to enjoy your music as close to the original sound as possible. Marantz has ensured that the AV 10 is equipped to handle the latest video processing advancements. All seven HDMI inputs and two of three outputs support 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video signals—ideal for devices like Sony’s PlayStation® 5 or Xbox Series X—or high-quality sources like a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player or Apple TV. Engaging, Realistic Sound The AV 10 excels at processing "object-based" surround sound formats such as Dolby Atmos or DTS:X™, which accurately position sound effects in your environment. With the capacity to support 15 speakers, you’ll experience movie soundtracks and scores coming from all directions—above, behind, in front of, and beside you—much like in a real cinema. Enhanced Bass for an Immersive Home Theater To enrich your surround sound experience, Marantz has integrated four subwoofer outputs. This allows your bass-heavy music and cinematic soundtracks to achieve thrilling new depths. Using multiple powered subs not only increases bass volume but also balances it more evenly throughout the room. You can select the "Standard" setting for distributed bass performance or "Directional" to customize the bass response of each subwoofer according to its nearest speaker. Stream Music in Any Setting This pre/pro also allows you to stream music from your smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Apple AirPlay 2. Connect a CD player through the optical or coaxial digital inputs, or enjoy your vinyl records with the dedicated phono input. You can also play high-resolution tracks from a USB drive or a networked computer. With HEOS Built-in technology, the AV 10 offers access to a variety of content. Listen to internet radio stations or popular streaming services like Pandora®, Spotify®, and TIDAL. Additionally, you can integrate the AV 10 into a wireless multi-room audio system with compatible speakers or streaming devices. For more insight, explore hands-on reviews of HEOS-enabled speakers.
