Mapplethorpe 1993 Diary

Hardback monograph, Mapplethorpe: 1993 Diary. Published in 1992. “A functional artist’s diary for the year 1993, interspersing Robert Mapplethorpe’s photographs with calendar pages and space for daily entries. Known for his precise compositions and sculptural treatment of the human form, Mapplethorpe’s images bring a striking visual rhythm to the passage of time. Figures, still lifes, and portraits appear throughout, balancing classical restraint with charged subject matter, making this both a utilitarian object and a compelling record of his aesthetic.”
