Maple Artisan Plank Charcuterie Board

Whether you're serving bread, bruschetta, or simply leaving it hanging in your kitchen, the J.K. Adams Maple Plank Serving Board has as much functionality as it does beauty. The artisan finish gives the patina of a vintage piece that has been handed down for years.  A convenient handle makes for easy serving while a small hole allows the board to be hung or displayed.  Each board has a distressed finish and is protected in beeswax and mineral oil. The edge grain construction highlights the natural beauty of the wood, showcasing long, uninterrupted grain patterns that add an aesthetic appeal to its practical design.   In contrast to plastic, composite, or even glass cutting boards, wood is a natural and renewable material that is innately anti-microbial. Wood is able to naturally dry, and further kill bacteria, while other materials can harbor and encourage bacterial growth. Materials:  sustainably harvested North American maple hardwood, beeswax, mineral oil  *Please note that due to grain variation and the distressed finish your piece may look slightly different than the photos. Made by:  J.K. Adams Made in:  Vermont, USA Specifications:  19.8" x 6" x 0.6"  Care:  Wood is an incredible natural material that expands and contracts with moisture and humidity. Regular regimented care of this product will protect it for years to come. Handwash with warm, soapy water after each use and dry thoroughly with a towel. Never soak or submerge in water, run in a dishwasher, or use in a microwave. Apply mineral oil and/or beeswax wood conditioner once a week with a lint free cloth to all surfaces (including edges and ends) until the finish is established, and at any time the board feels dry. If at any time the grain of your product becomes raised, causing a rough feeling, a light buffing in the affected area with 200 grit sandpaper will smooth the finish. Reapply wood conditioner after this process. Further Reading:  J.K.
