The Healing Power of Manuka Honey Skincare Known for its extraordinary healing properties, Manuka honey is the star ingredient in Savor Beauty's mask, trusted by tens of thousands of faces. Backed by scientific research, Manuka honey has proven itself as a game-changer in skincare. Its antimicrobial properties combat skin-related microbes, while its soothing abilities calm inflammation and promote wound healing. This golden elixir gently nourishes and rejuvenates skin, revealing a radiant and revitalized complexion. The major antibacterial component in Manuka honey is methylglyoxal (MG). MG is a compound found in most types of honey, but usually only in small quantities. In Manuka honey, MG comes from the conversion of another compound—dihydroxyacetone—that is found in high concentration in the nectar of Manuka flowers. Savor Beauty sources its premium-quality Manuka honey from New Zealand. This sought-after mask is not only used in Savor Beauty's New York City spas but also highly coveted by spas and estheticians worldwide for its therapeutic properties in facial treatments. Rinse off after 5-10 minutes. Use 1-3 times per week. Pro tip: Honey can get sticky, so best practice is to use in the shower, allowing the steam to melt honey into pores. Beauty editors tip: "…a warm, damp towel to the face after application forces us to breathe in the sinus-clearing aroma of sage and, more importantly, relax for 10 whole minutes. Ahh..." -Refinery 29 #SavorBeauty Tip from Founder Angela Jia Kim: "Savor Beauty products are synergistic so you can create 'beauty cocktails', blending different products to provide multiple skincare benefits. One of my favorite beauty cocktails is to mix a dollop of the Manuka Honey Mask with two pumps of the Pearl Cleansing Cream for a rich and luxurious cleansing balm. My skin feels so refreshed and soft afterward!" You can also create a beauty cocktail mixing equal parts of the Manuka Honey Mask and Pumpkin Enzyme Peel, Yuzu Lemonade Peel, or Cherry Collagen Peel for a gentle acid exfoliation.
