Mantis Shrimp- FlySmith Flies

Mantis Shrimp – FlySmith Flies Size: #4, #6 | Colors: Olive, Tan This ain’t your grandma’s shrimp pattern — unless she ties flies that wreck redfish on the regular. The Mantis Shrimp by FlySmith Flies walks the line between subtle and straight-up dangerous. It lands soft, breathes on the pause, and kicks like it’s got something to prove. Built to imitate a fleeing mantis shrimp, it carries just enough flash and leg movement to trigger fish that have seen every generic shrimp in the box. Now available in both #4 and #6, you can match the mood of the flat. The #6 shines in ultra-skinny water and high-pressure situations where fish are inspecting every inch. The #4 gives you a slightly stronger profile and presence when visibility, depth, or aggression calls for it. Tied in proven Olive and Tan, with barred legs, hot dumbbell eyes, and a trimmed head that pushes subtle water, this fly is built to convert follows into eats. Strong hook. Balanced profile. Flats attitude. Redfish, bonefish, and other picky crustacean hunters don’t get many easy meals — but this one looks like it might be.
