Barnwood Mantel

Adding a Forever Barnwood mantel is a great way to add rich, rustic accents to your fireplace. Crafted from fresh-cut Wisconsin white pine, our mantels bring the charm of reclaimed barnwood to your home without compromising on quality or durability. Whether you’re renovating your living space or building anew, Forever Barnwood mantels offer the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern sophistication. Product Description Our mantels are available in two sizes— 8” x 8” x 6’ and 4” x 12” x 6’ —in our Traditional 100-year-old color, and with or without cow rub. If you need a length between our two options, below you will find a helpful video showing you how to customize your mantle to your desired length and finish it just like we do at Forever Barnwood.  They also feature the original circle-sawn marks left by the milling process. These marks not only add character but also authenticity to each piece, making them a stunning centerpiece in any room.  Features The standout feature of our barnwood mantels is the use of renewable Wisconsin white pine. This environmentally conscious decision not only promotes sustainable practices but also guarantees access to premium materials. Our unique handcrafting process captures the essence of aged barnwood, providing a rustic look without the drawbacks of traditional reclaimed wood, such as hidden nails or rot. Our mantels also include the knots and deep cracks that are found in each hand-picked masterpiece. These cracks and knots are common in reclaimed beams found in old barns and farmsteads. Our mantels are kiln-dried just as our other products to ensure stability. Each of these mantels are unique and will become the focal masterpiece of your fireplace surround. Our barnwood mantels are available in 100-year-old Traditional only and can have cow rub for added texture and visual interest or without for a sleeker look. https://foreverbarnwood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/FB_Mantle.mp4 The Beauty Is in the Cow Rub Cow rub is the distinct texture and color you find on a post, beam, or board, as a result of constant rubbing from, you guessed it—a cow. Due to their former life as a post, beam, or board that cows like to rub against, some of our dimensional barnwood lumber with thicknesses of 2 inches or more have cow rub. We leave this one-of-a-kind weathering in the wood, as it lends more character. It’s also a stamp of authenticity and durability. By using cow-rubbed lumber for mantels, corbels, beams, doors, posts, and other home parts, you not only make functional pieces of wood, but beautiful conversation pieces, too.
