Description Light/Soil/Water Hardiness A refined Mangave hybrid forming a symmetrical rosette of silvery-blue, slightly powdery leaves with subtle spotting. It combines the elegance of blue-toned foliage with the toughness of both Agave and Manfreda, making it an eye-catching, low-maintenance succulent for modern gardens and containers. Hybrid of Agave and Manfreda, developed in the United States. Agave is native to Mexico and the southwestern U.S., while Manfreda is native to North America. This cross combines drought tolerance with faster growth and refined ornamental foliage. Produces a tall flowering stalk (up to several feet) when mature. Flowers are tubular and greenish-white. Blooming is rare in containers and occurs after the plant matures. The rosette may decline after blooming, but offsets typically form beforehand. Frosty, glaucous coating gives leaves a powdery-blue appearance. Elegant, symmetrical rosette form. Soft, refined coloration that stands out in any garden or container display. More cold-tolerant and flexible than standard agave. Full sun to bright indirect light; best color develops in strong sunlight Low water; allow soil to dry completely between waterings; drought-tolerant once established Well-draining cactus/succulent mix; add perlite or coarse sand for improved drainage Thrives in 15°C – 30°C (59°F – 86°F); protect from hard freezes below 0°C (32°F) Moderate-growing; forms a gradually expanding rosette over time USDA Zones 9–11; protect from frost and freezing temperatures
