The Mandelic Scrub

CONTROLLED MANDELIC EXFOLIATION FOR CONGESTED, TEXTURED SKIN The Mandelic Scrub by Biba Los Angeles is a dual-action exfoliating treatment designed to help clear buildup, smooth uneven texture, and support acne-prone skin without over-stripping or overwhelming the skin barrier. Combining mandelic acid with gentle physical exfoliation, the formula provides a more controlled approach to deeper exfoliation while helping maintain overall skin balance. WHY THIS EXFOLIATING SCRUB WORKS DIFFERENTLY Unlike aggressive scrubs that can leave the skin irritated or sensitized, The Mandelic Scrub was developed around controlled exfoliation. Mandelic acid works more gradually and evenly than many stronger acids, making it more predictable and generally easier for the skin to tolerate. Fine exfoliating particles help loosen buildup and smooth texture while supporting clearer-looking skin without creating the harsh, over-processed feeling often associated with stronger exfoliating products. DUAL EXFOLIATION WITHOUT OVER-STRIPPING The combination of chemical and physical exfoliation helps improve the appearance of congestion, rough texture, dullness, and uneven-looking skin while supporting more consistent skin maintenance over time. Peppermint provides a light, refreshing sensation during use that leaves the skin feeling cleaner and more invigorated without excessive irritation. This formula is especially well suited for acne-prone, combination, resilient, or congestion-prone skin, including skin prone to folliculitis. CONTROLLED EXFOLIATION FOR CONGESTED SKIN Developed from Biba de Sousa’s treatment room experience working with congestion-prone and acne-prone skin, The Mandelic Scrub is often used when the skin needs more support than daily exfoliation alone - when pores feel congested, texture becomes uneven, or breakouts are slow to clear. It was designed as a controlled exfoliation step that helps reset the skin without pushing it into unnecessary irritation.
