Mancala Game Board – American Elm

Mancala is an ancient African board game played across various cultures worldwide. Players take turns picking up and distributing the pieces across the board, with the objective of capturing as many game pieces as possible. The game requires strategic thinking, as players must anticipate their opponent’s moves and make decisions that maximize their gains while minimizing their opponent’s potential captures. This handcrafted fine product is made of urban trees reclaimed from Minneapolis / St. Paul neighborhoods. These live edge, solid wood boards will provide a lifetime of pleasure, not only for the game itself but for the beautiful grain and patterns inherent to the natural wood that will enhance your space. Measuring 21” long and in the range of 9”-13” wide, our Mancala boards are great for bigger-than-life aesthetics or low-vision conditions. Each board comes with playing directions, gaming pieces and a cotton bag to store your pieces. Boards are 3/4″thick and finished with an environmentally friendly but durable clear finish. As always, please note that the shape, color, and grain of the lumber used to create each product will differ between individual pieces.
