Malabrigo - Rios

Soft, strong, and washable, this yarn is fantastic for frequently-worn garments, housewares, and children and baby clothes. It’s super soft and great for next-to-the-skin wear! Spun from premium superwash merino, it comes in an array of watercolor-multi, semi-solid, and variegated colorways. It's great for accessories, garments, baby and kids items, housewares, toys, cables, textured stitches, and color-work. Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. Skeins may vary one from the other even within the same bag. Yes. This yarn is dyed by hand in small batches. Every skein is unique due  to the artisan nature of hand dyeing process. If you are knitting any kind of texture you know it's going to be a pleasure to knit with and that finished object will be one you reach for all the time.  No trouble wearing this yarn against the skin, and that makes it my go to for kids.  The stitch definition may not be quite as pronounced as a toothy wool but you won't get any itch complaints from little people! Malabrigo Rios was where my love affair with yarn began. I was a new knitter and had never felt a softer yarn. Not to mention all those gorgeously rich saturated hues it came in! It was the perfect price point to venture into hand-dyed yarns. It felt like a treat.  We decided to carry Rios in particular because Tori and I share the same origin story with this yarn.
