The result? A state-of-the-art fly reel that has changed the experience of fly fishing forever. 9700 is equivalent to a 13wt+ Fully sealed with o-rings, proprietary carbon/Teflon lip seals. Full-contact carbon-fiber drag system that uses “button technology” eliminating start-up friction. Large calibrated drag knob with "one turn stop" providing a full range of drag. QuickLock spool and a three-ball bearing spindle assembly. Type III Anodization (Black) & Enhanced Type II colors.  5.5 inch diameter 16.75 ounces
