Making Turns Colorado Front Vol 2

Many people see Colorado’s Front Range as a rather mild pace. This part of the state would disagree. The grandeur of these peaks truly inspires. From the wilds of the southern reaches of Rocky Mountain National Park through the heart of the Indian Peaks down to the James Peak Wilderness these peaks offer up the steeps. And then it all mellows out as we near Berthoud and Butler. Plenty of options for all conditions exist with a long and glorious history of sliding on snow. While access in the southern portion of this book is awesome, expect an adventure just getting to the heart of the Indian Peaks, as the trailheads are a long way from the peaks; a capable 4×4 can save a lot of effort. This book offers 10 additional routes not found in the original and the inset photo design really matured in this volume. These mountains are fairly crowded so be courteous and communicate your intentions when you’re on the hill.
