Make Your Own Glass Experience

Step into the heat of the Blenko Hot Shop and create something truly your own. Guided by our skilled artisans, you’ll shape molten glass into a one-of-a-kind keepsake. Choose from five signature forms: – 2 vibrant ornaments – 1 small, sculpted fish – 2 handblown rocks glasses – 2 Pilsner glasses – 2 stemless wine glasses Whether you're a first-time maker or a longtime admirer of the craft, this hands-on experience brings you closer to the heart of Blenko. You’ll learn the rhythm of the furnace, the dance of the tools, and the spark of creativity that fuels over a century of West Virginia tradition. Each session lasts approximately 120 minutes and includes safety instruction, hands-on assistance, and time to create your selected piece(s). Finished works will be annealed overnight and available for pick-up or shipping. Session Times: Available Thursday and Friday 9am, 11am, 1pm & 3pm. Limited to 2 participants per session Book your seat. Blow some glass. Take home a piece of Blenko history — made by you. All class participants must wear closed toe shoes and be age 14+ to participate in factory activities. No exceptions will be made, nor refunds issued for failure to abide. __________________________   Frequently Asked Questions Do I really need to wear closed toes shoes? Absolutely, yes, without exception.  Do I need to bring my ticket? Please try to bring either a digital (email confirmation) or printed version of your tickets with you. If you are with a group please reach out to your ticket purchaser. What should I bring to the event? Closed-toe shoes are required, no exceptions. Safety glasses will be provided.  How can I contact the Blenko with questions? Email support@blenko.com. Note: Registration is available online. No phone calls, please. Email is only for post-purchase support. What's the refund or cancellation policy? You can cancel your registration up to 7 days before the event. You will be refunded your ticket cost minus a $10 cancellation fee. Note: Keep your eyes open for vacancies in events due to cancellations; we will not make a public announcement of availability due to cancellations.  What happens if my glass is broken or lost? Glass is a tricky, fragile thing! Not everything you make will indubitably survive the annealing process or handling. In the case that someone’s glass creation is broken, we will issue a partial refund for the product or issue a replacement product, depending on your specification. When can I pick up my glass or expect it to ship? All items made on site will be shipped--no exceptions. We understand that we will have local customers who may like to pick up their items before leaving, but because of annealing and curing times, organizational and administrative processes, we have decided to ship items. The shipping cost is included in the cost of the event.
