Making peace with our past can be one of the hardest ordeals we ever endure in our lifetime.  Whether it is parental / child abuse, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, sexual abuse or anger, fear, hatred or resentment toward others we must come to terms at some point, with what we have experienced.  Also, those same types of abuses, blame, hatred and resentment can be projected toward you.  And, sometimes wrongful accusations.  Anything from our past that holds us back is something we must make peace with. Maybe the person you need resolution with has already passed on, and you need to get peace and closure in your life.  Maybe that person, you are still unable to speak with, you still need that closure and peace in your life for your mental health and well-being.  You can have that.  You can help yourself.  Finally, you have something that can help you feel better internally and externally.  At some point in your life, you will discover that blaming others or blaming yourself is just a waste of time.  To live a healthy life, mentally, emotionally and physically, we must give up our shame, blame and guilt.  It serves no purpose anymore.  Even if the person or people are still alive that caused this grief and / or anger within you, it is probable that they are not expending the energy and emotions you are.   So, it is time to let go.  Holding on to those emotions and painful memories now are just a waste of time and energy. NV *     *     * "This really works.  I am not someone that is good about talking about my feelings or emotions.  My wife bought this and we listen during the day and sometimes at night.  We both had a rough life growing up.  Somewhere in the middle since we have been listening, I do not really feel the angers and frustrations I used to feel when I thought about my past.  I do not like to think about those kinds of things anyway.  Now when I do, I don't feel so sad or angry.
