Make: Getting Started with Oxocard Connect - PDF

Meet the next generation of small experimental computers...Prototype and Experiment with Oxocard Connect! Oxocard Connect makes it easy to bring your ideas to life through plug-and-play electronics modules that just work right away. Its cartridge-based design seamlessly downloads and runs programs so you can skip endless setups and jump right into 17 intriguing projects using simple components from the Make: Oxocard Innovator Kit.  Getting Started with Oxocard Connect is your guide to exploring new ways to interact with the world around you using sensors, motors, lights, and more. The Breadboard Cartridge and components included in our Make: Oxocard Connect Innovator Kit make circuit building a snap for simple projects that teach fundamental electronics, including:  •    Light flashers and dimmers •    LED color mixing and animation •    Traffic-light controllers •    Windshield wipers •    Temperature and brightness sensors •    Graphics and text displays •    Servomotor controllers •    Musical tone generators •    Motion detector alarms Kit Not Included As you work on these projects, you'll learn how to program in Nano Py, a speedy, easy to learn language designed for microcontrollers and small computers like the Oxocard Connect. Through step-by-step instructions and simple, clear explanations, this introductory course is your launching pad to the exciting world of electronics and innovation!    The Oxocard Connect easily helps you get into different areas of electronics and try out new things quickly thanks to it‘s universal cartridge slot, which allows for different expansion cartridges to be brought to life by simply plugging them in. Use cartridges to immediately experiment with light and audio, or sensor applications, such as measuring distance and testing your air quality, or making strange and beautiful music with a pocket sized synth! Gone are the days when you had to buy a breakout board and then find out how to connect the cards to the controller.  No more searching for install drivers or sample code, that‘s all a thing of the past!  All the necessary software is installed automatically and the easy to follow documentation is included. As soon as a cartridge is inserted, the Oxocard CONNECT recognizes the card, loads the drivers and automatically starts a demo program. Nothing needs to be installed or configured! The new 16-pin connector can also be plugged in on both sides. Errors when plugging in are all but impossible! NanoPy – inspired by Python, optimized for microcontrollers... Each Oxocard gives you access to NanoPy.io, one of the most powerful and simple online development environments currently available on the market. This has a similar structure to the frequently used Python programming language and is easy to learn and program. The main difference is that NanoPy is optimized for microcontrollers. It therefore offers a high execution speed and guarantees a high level of stability during operation.  Browse through the extensive software libraries featuring a user friendly interface, all at the touch of your fingertips! Online, there are simple tutorials, thorough documentation, specifications and even a beginner's basic electronics course with 13 experiments you can do right out of the box. With the Oxocard Connect, find out how professionals really work and get inspired for your own projects with the fascinating and unlimited possibilities of the world of electronics and software made easy.  Open Hardware means your own DIY circuit boards too!  The new cartridge system is OPEN SOURCE / OPEN HARDWARE. Anyone can download the circuit diagrams and make their own cartridges. As only open protocols are used, the cartridges can also be used with other microcontrollers via the solder pads. Five IO pins (PWM-capable), two ADC inputs, I2C and SPI are available. Simple, open, diverse Enter the fascinating world of electronics with this comprehensive kit.
