Make a Point Dress

A modern shirt dress or big shirt with loads of details and drama. Angled princess seams create a sharp look and conceal perfect pockets. Fullness through the sides show off the sweep of your silhouette. Style lines celebrate the unexpected. Create a short-sleeved big shirt to style with leggings or straight-leg pants, such as the Secret Jeans Trousers. Or challenge yourself with a designer-quality dress, complete with long sleeves, plackets and cuffs. Both versions offer creative options for color-blocking and pattern play. Choose drapey woven fabrics for the Make a Point Dress, such as challis, crepe or georgette in rayon, silk or wool. Lawn, shirtings or light suitings with drape also are great choices. Wider fabric is recommended. See the materials chart for a list of everything you need to get started.        This pattern comes in paper and digital formats.
