100% Handcrafted | One-of-a-Kind | Fair Trade | Indigenous-Made These statement fringe earrings are hand-beaded by Inga Awaska, a beading and cultural workshop of Indigenous Inga Women in Santiago, Putumayo. Filled with intricate, detailed, and storytelling symbolism that expresses Inga culture & heritage. The symbol shown in these earrings is called "Sarra", meaning "maiz" or "corn" in the Inga language. It is an important symbol for the community considering that corn is a staple food! I had this design custom-made after falling in love with the way the artisans interpreted the symbol through their unique beadwork. A beautiful blend of modern and traditional elements. Earring Details Community: Inga Region: Putumayo Material: Preciosa beads, stainless steel studs Technique: Stringing and on the loom Width: 2 in. Length: 6.5 in. Handmade in Colombia Being that the earrings and bracelets are handmade, measurements, stitching, and sizing may vary slightly. Earring Care Keep them dry, avoid water, and wait till perfumes and lotions are dry before putting them on. Handle gently, don’t tug or pull. Store safely in the pouch it came in or box when not in use, or hang away from direct sunlight. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth if they need a clean. Treat them with care, and they’ll stay beautiful for years! These earrings are handmade and delicate, show them some love!
