Maintaining Composure

In this series, artist Brianna Lance delves into the elusive nature of memory, dreams, and fleeting emotion—those intangible forces that quietly shape perception and self. Through her paintings, Lance gives form to what cannot be held, exploring the tension between the deeply personal and the ineffable. Each work becomes a meditation on the unseen influences that define how we experience the world. Balancing intimacy and abstraction, Lance’s compositions evoke the hazy edges of recollection and the quiet resonance of moments that linger just beyond reach. The series reflects her ongoing fascination with the inner landscape, revealing how the invisible—our feelings, dreams, and memories—can hold the greatest power to transform our understanding of reality.
