Mahjong Tile Pouch | SB Design Studio

An oilcloth zip pouch sized for a rack of mahjong tiles — 13 by 7 inches, finished with a gold zipper and a metallic tassel pull. Oilcloth is the right material here: it holds its shape, wipes clean with a damp cloth, and shrugs off the spilled drink that inevitably happens at the table. Two designs, both in the same pink, green, and white palette. Tiles is a repeating mahjong tile motif with a racing stripe down the center. Mahjong Social Club is pink-and-white stripes with a green crest that reads "ladies only, bring cash, rack and roll" — which is either your group exactly or the group you want to be in. It works for the obvious thing and everything else. Tiles at the table, then lipstick, cash, and cards in a larger bag the rest of the week. Small enough to be an easy gift, specific enough to feel considered, and it tucks perfectly inside the Mahj Heart tote if you're building a set for someone who plays. Why Katie loves it: "It's the little bag that ends up in everyone's hands. I use mine for tiles at game night and as a clutch inside my tote the rest of the time. The tassel is the detail that makes it feel like something you'd buy for yourself, not just a game accessory."
