Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend batch 127

Experience the legendary Jos. A. Magnus Cigar Blend Bourbon, a testament to masterful cask finishing. This meticulously crafted straight bourbon is elevated through a sophisticated maturation in Armagnac, Sherry, and Cognac barrels, creating an unparalleled symphony of rich flavors. Tasting Notes Nose: A captivating and complex bouquet immediately greets the senses. Rich dried fruits, like fig, raisin, and apricot, mingle with deep caramel and vanilla. Hints of toasted oak, baking spices (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg), and a subtle leathery pipe tobacco note emerge, underscored by a delicate floral sweetness. The influence of the various finishing casks is evident, offering a harmonious blend of fruit, spice, and wood. A touch of dark chocolate and orange zest adds further depth. Palate: The entry is sumptuously textured, coating the palate with a luxurious warmth. Initial waves of dark treacle, maple syrup, and demerara sugar give way to a vibrant burst of red berries and stone fruits, reminiscent of Armagnac and Sherry. The Cognac influence introduces notes of candied ginger, almond, and crème brûlée. A robust spiciness, including black pepper and allspice, provides a pleasant counterpoint to the sweetness. The straight bourbon core shines through with classic notes of corn sweetness and charred oak, providing structure and balance. Finish: Long, lingering, and exceptionally well-integrated. The finish evolves gracefully, starting with a warming glow of oak and spice that gradually transitions to a delightful interplay of dark fruit and sweet tobacco. Notes of mocha, roasted nuts, and a hint of rancio from the Armagnac and Cognac casks persist. The finish is remarkably smooth, with a pleasant dryness that invites another sip, showcasing the sophisticated layering of flavors from the triple cask finish. About the Distillery Jos. A.
